Dr. Ranjit Dashis a pioneer in livestock farming. He has initiated and popularized (1980-83) broiler poultry farming in Odisha. Graduated from Orissa veterinary college (1979), he is a freelance veterinary doctor.

Besides taking large animal treatment to new heights, he has trained more than 60 young men as his assistants.Recipient of “Sadvavana Award” for achieving popularity in animal treatment Dr. Dash has also worked for milk producer’s cooperative movement.

In a bid to fulfil his father late Abanindra’s cherished dream of livestock promotion and right education to a right person; Dr.Dash has been working down to earth, perpetuating livestock development-blending Teaching& Training with activities inOrganizing farmers and entrepreneurs.

Dr. Dashled a NABARD project and showed the way to get cheap protein fodder from groundnut crop leftover. Was felicitated for this work by NABARD in 2012.
